Our agency is seeking an energetic, hardworking, and well-qualified individual to join our team. Your role would support our management of a large book of personal line products such as homeowners and auto. Your duties and responsibilities would include working within our agency management system to verify the renewal of each insurance policy, assisting in the management of client data, handling billing data, and project work.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a diverse book of business, including habitational, contractors, financial services, and public entities. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management and possess a strong understanding of the specific insurance needs of these industries. This role requires someone who can manage client renewals, provide exceptional customer service, and drive business growth while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and producers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the servicing of commercial lines client accounts, including policy renewals and onboarding of new clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through prompt, professional, and empathetic service.
- Actively seek and provide opportunities to enhance client coverage and service.
- Contribute to the expansion of the Commercial Lines Department through account rounding and new program development.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to support the needs of Commercial Lines clients.
- Stay informed about current market trends, industry changes, and emerging risks; pursue continuous learning through seminars and courses.
- Adhere to agency-established client service standards, workflows, and documentation expectations.
- Attend client, department, and company meetings and calls.
- Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5-10 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience, preferably in an agency or risk management department.
- Knowledge of core commercial lines coverages, with experience in specialty coverages considered a plus.
- Current Property & Casualty license required.
- Professional insurance designation(s) preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance company rating systems and Applied Epic System a plus.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible based on client needs.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Excellent customer service and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
